Fur and whiskers are fun and challenging to paint. This close-up kitten portrait gave me opportunity to work with fine lines and ragged edges.
Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and sometimes finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

Thank you, Shirley and Suzanne. It's so fun to hear you like this one, as I enjoy the paintings you both do very much.
Blogging rocks!
Such a sweet kitten! I can't believe that you got so much information on such a small format! Just lovely!
Sometimes it does feel a little crazy to put so much in such a tiny painting! Thanks for the kudos, Linda.
Diana, this is so precious. Absolutely adorable and beautifully painted.
It was pretty fun to paint this playful piece instead of something "serious". And now I have the fun of reading these cat lover comments too.
Lovely!
What a tiny and darling painted kitten. Lovely brushwork. The fur is perfect.
The fur was an interesting challenge. I hope to try another hairy subject sometime soon!
