Original oil painting on hardboard
approximately 5"x5", unframed

This is a little piece I started awhile back and I found time to finish it up while waiting for my big painting to dry.
Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and sometimes finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

I'm drawn to the colors and the light in this painting. I think it would be lovely in a large format. Did you ever consider redoing it large?
This one would indeed look beautiful as a wall piece. The big paintings I usually do as commissions.
In fact, I'm doing these recent small sunset studies with a project in mind and plan to show them to the collector for a possible commission.
Good luck!
Thanks, Susan. It may be months away, but if the commissions become a reality, I'll be blogging about it.
Meanwhile, I have these lovely little treasures to offer to someone who likes them.
Love those reflections...a very subtle, evocative painting.
Thank you, Don. The simplicity and subtleness of the scene was, indeed the inspiration. I'm happy to know the result is expressive for others to enjoy.
