Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and sometimes finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

Nice one, Diana.
I love the play of light in the shadow. The cross complements of green mint and red cherry with the blue shadow and highlights and the orange liquid is very effective.

I appreciate your remarks, Mark. This was an interesting piece for me, too. I'm glad to hear you like it; that means a lot to me because I really enjoy your work.

I've been mulling over how artists and collectors can connect through this internet blogging medium. Artists working in solitude can get immediate feedback ... pretty amazing!

Thanks Jelaine! It took several passes to get those layers built up with the glowing colors. I'm pleased to hear you like the painting.

What colors are you using? The Tea looks too Pink.

It is nice though.

Sherrie, it could be your monitor settings that make the tea look pink. On my monitor I see it pretty close to how I painted it; burnt sienna and orange colors with lighter areas leaning toward yellows.

Does anyone else see the tea pink on their monitor?
